Stretch blow molding is a process used for producing PET bottles commonly used for water, juice, and a variety of other related products. Stretch blow molding has been used since the early 1970s and has grown in existence with the primary use for making carbonated beverage bottles.
In this process, a preform is loaded into the PET stretch blow molding machine, where it is heated up and blown into a finished container with compressed air or nitrogen. One of the major advantages of stretch blow molding is the ability to stretch the preform in both the hoop direction and the axial direction.
In the field of plastic forming, more and more customers are relying on Sauer for their reliability and uncomplicated rapid service. In this sector, it is particularly important to have a continuous supply of compressed air available to avoid production downtime. We recently received a call from a stretch blow molding production site that had an immediate need as their compressor system was out of commission, and replacement parts had a 7–10-week lead time. The Sauer Rental team jumped into action to get a Passat Series WP81L compressor package out the door the same day.
Sauer Rentals offers the full package, including ancillary equipment, for all your industrial application needs. This particular WP81L package included Outlet Filtration, food-grade oil, four (4) 11-gallon ASME Cylinders with gauges and fittings to cascade to the next cylinder, and a medium pressure refrigeration dryer.
